Marvin Alinaitwe

A proud son of the Pearl of Africa and charismatic leader, Marvin Alinaitwe is an exuberant WordPress developer. Together with his long time business partner Mr. Shafiq Lutaaya, he co-founded the PoTUS Times website ( www.potustimes.com) which covers the President of the United States and Capitol Hill.
Marvin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Science of Makerere University.
Back in 2016 while he was the Speaker of the College of Computing and Information Sciences at Makerere University, He bore the idea of “The Future is Now” a student-based Organization which helped create a platform for all young people especially the girl-child who have dreams of becoming tech-entrepreneurs easily transform their dreams into reality through providing them with information and a platform relevant to building their capacity. Marvin currently works at Uganda National Council for Science and Technology in Science & Technology Management Department. He also the founder of “Save Mother Nature” a non-profit organization that through social media champions environmental conservation and protection through advocating for the use of clean and renewable energy
Marvin within his circles of friends and partners has been lucky to be among the few who have earned a living building WordPress websites for companies, individuals and organizations among others. He greatly appreciates the contribution of WordPress which has been and still is a concrete foundation for the success of millions of developers all over the world.
He is a strong advocate for the right to Free and uncensored Information access, freedoms of free speech and expression and Intellectual Property Rights. I’m ISHIMWE JOSEPH Patient, i join WordPress since last year in January, I’m not so much experienced but that is where I’m heading, I want just to share with beginners the small experience i have in wordpress so far.

I graduated last in 2017 at Saint Lawrence University where i got a degree in Information and Technology. Coding is my favorite part in Computing, I use JavaScript, react Native, PHP to code.

Lutaya Shafiq Holmes

Lutaaya Shafiq is an experienced web applications developer. Shafiq holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Makerere University, and he is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Information Systems at Makerere University. He was selected to be a among the thirty speakers of the 2018 WordCamp Kampala WordPress meetup, the second of its kind in Uganda.
Shafiq has been lucky to be among the few who have earned a living building WordPress websites for companies, individuals and organizations among others. He is proud to say that he stumbled upon WordPress way back in 2011 when he was starting his Software development career where he started out as an HTML / CSS / PHP developer before he could land on the platform that powers more than 31% of the webs systems that run on the internet- WordPress. He believes that access to the internet is every human’s right and that any entity that has no web presence will not exist in business in the next couple of decades. He has keen interest in Industrial Systems Engineering, Machine Learning, Knowledge Service Engineering and Human Computer Interaction.
When Shafiq is not glued to a computer screen, he spends time meeting friends, family, travelling and most importantly playing chess.
